There are various systems on the market that can be used to retrofit older vehicles with a TPMS. Original sensors from the manufacturer, on the other hand, are only available for those models that are available from the factory with a TPMS system. Many rim manufacturers now offer their own sensors.
Does E46 have TPMS?
E46 M3’s don’t have TPMS like the 2007+ BMW’s do. Their TPMS is built into the ABS system, it senses if a wheel is rotating slower or faster than the other 3, and if it is, it will kick the tire sensors off. Newer cars do not have this system.
