Why does food stick to my Staub pan?

The reason your enamel cast-iron is sticky or has food sticking to the inside of the enamel is that it is not a non-stick cooking surface. Combining a non-stick cooking surface, with the exceptional heat output from cast-iron and not enough oil or other liquid is what makes it sticky over time.

What is a 28cm pan?

The diameter is the most important specification for the size of pots and pans. So a 28 cm pan has a diameter of 28 cm from one inside of the rim to the other inside of the rim.

Does Staub make nonstick pans?

Staub Cast Iron pieces are not nonstick. They are made of Enameled Glass. Enamel Glass applied to the Cast Iron surface, inside and out.

Is Staub lighter than Le Creuset?

Is Staub nonstick?

Can you use soap on cast iron?

Contrary to popular belief, you can use a small amount of soap to clean cast iron cookware! Large amounts of soap can strip the seasoning off your pan, but you can easily re-season your pan as needed. Our cast iron cookware should be washed by hand. A dishwasher will remove the seasoning and likely cause rust.

Does size of burner matter?

Many gas ranges have burners of different sizes and heat outputs, and burners with larger diameters produce more BTUs per hour. If you are cooking with a large (10- or 12-inch) skillet or Dutch oven, it only makes sense to use one of the large burners.

Where do you measure the size of a frying pan?

To properly measure a frying pan simply grab a measuring tape in one hand and then place the frying pan right side up on a flat surface. Then stretch the measuring tape across the center of the top side of the pan. Read the measurement from the top to get the proper frying pan measurement.

Can you fry in Staub?

Staub on the other hand state that their Dutch ovens can be used for frying at a medium to high heat. As with any cast iron Dutch ovens, it is always recommended that you heat them up slowly rather than on the highest heat setting. The same applies when heating the oil to the temperature you need.

Does Staub use Teflon?

All Staub enamel cookware is PTFE, PFOA, Lead, and Cadmium free.
