Why was HyperSonic XLC removed?
The ride was going to be located at California’s Great America, but the plan was cancelled. HyperSonic XLC opened on March 24, 2001. Since HyperSonic XLC was a prototype, it suffered many maintenance issues. The high g-forces would cause the tires to be crushed.
